Notify your supervisor and the Workers' Comp Coordinator immediately or as soon as possible. If you require medical attention, seek treatment promptly.

Xavier’s occupational health provider is Ochsner Occupational Health. The nearest office is the Mid-City location at 4100 Canal Street. For severe injuries, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Indemnity benefits are typically calculated as two-thirds (66.67%) of the employee's average weekly wage.

In Louisiana, indemnity benefits are determined by factors including your average weekly wage and the extent of your disability, as outlined by state law and the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

Workers' comp covers medical care, temporary disability benefits (lost wages), permanent disability benefits, supplemental job displacement benefits (if applicable), and death benefits.
