M.S. IN SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

A 51-credit hour program..

that prepares professionals to provide competent and compassionate care to individuals across diverse communities who have communicative disorders, differences, or are at risk of such problems. The program meets the standards set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

Admission Requirements

  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended
    •  Please note: Applicants must submit a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA and 3.2 GPA in the Communication Sciences and Disorders courses
  • Three Academic or Professional Letters of Recommendation on official letterhead and signed by someone who can speak to your potential as a graduate student.
  • Statement of Interest
    • Please, clearly express in writing your views on cultural and linguistic diversity
  •  (GRE)
  • Note: The median test scores are 280 combined on the GRE, with a median writing school of 3.0
  • Successful Interview upon invitation
  • TOEFL Score
    • *Students who are not native speakers of English will be required to pass the TOEFL and demonstrate English speaking comprehension skills appropriate for service delivery. A minimum TOEFL score of 600 on the paper-based exam, or 100 on the internet-based exam, must be achieved on a test taken within the last two years. Students may be referred for accent reduction or ESL instruction.
