Financial Assistance
Your child may be eligible to receive a need-based sponsorship to attend our programs. Thanks to the generosity of our partner, the Gilead Foundation, we’re able to admit eligible students for free or at reduced cost.
Consider the following questions:
- Do you and your child live in the Greater New Orleans area?
- Is your child part of a restricted income household?
- If your child attended college, would they be a first-generation college student? (In other words, did neither parent earn a four-year bachelor’s degree?)
If you answered ‘Yes’ to all three questions, it is very likely that your child is eligible for a full or partial sponsorship.
鈥淲e seek innovative approaches to complex social issues, with an emphasis on achieving health equity through educational equity. We promote health equity through education by focusing on systems change and community connection for underserved students in Grades 6 through 12.鈥

How to Apply
The application for financial assistance is included as a part of the program application. When you answer yes to the question "Would you like to be considered for need-based financial assistance towards program fees," the questions we use to determine eligibility will appear. Those questions include:
- Number of household members
- Total household income
- If they are eligible for free or reduced lunch at school
- Paragraph answer: We want to hear about your barriers to accessing our Pre-College Program or other similar programs that may not be fully illustrated by your family income. Please provide any additional information that can help us assess your financial needs.
- Documentation of income
鈥淲e strive for health prosperity 鈥 not just health equity 鈥 for all. We create spheres of impact 鈥 in our company, in the community, in society 鈥 by encouraging a culture of giving, engaging in our local communities and exploring innovative approaches to complex social issues鈥
