Graduate Admitted Students

CONGRATULATIONS! Welcome to the Xavier Family! We are excited to have you begin your graduate journey with us. Follow the steps below to get started. The Office of Graduate Programs is available to answer your questions at ogp@xula.edu or 504-520-7487.

FINALIZING YOUR ADMISSION


STEP 1: ACCEPT OUR  OF ADMISSION

Log in to your to let us know you’re coming! Doctoral students must submit a $250 deposit.

STEP 2: ACTIVATE YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT

Shortly after receiving your decision letter, the admissions office will provide instructions on activating your email account.

STEP 3: ACCESS BANNER WEB
Using , you can view your financial aid package and accept all scholarships, grants, and need-based aid. For questions regarding your financial aid, connect with the Office of Student Financial Aid or call them at 504-520-7835.

For questions regarding your student account and billing for tuition and fees, connect with the Office of Student Accounts or call them at 504-520-7667.

For questions about logging into Banner Web or your email account, call the Helpdesk at 504-520-7446 or at helpdesk@xula.edu

STEP 4: HEALTH CLEARANCE -All Steps must be completed before you can register for courses.

藏精阁 requires all students entering the university to submit an immunization recordStudents enrolled in Health Informatics and Educational Leadership EdD programs are exempted from this requirement.
Submit a health insurance waiver or sign-up for University Student Health Insurance. Learn more about insurance and waiver information by visiting their web page.

STEP 5: ACADEMIC ADVISING

Reach out to your department to be assigned an advisor and to discuss course registration. Contact information will be supplied by the admissions office.

STEP 5a: FISCAL CLEARANCE (after you have registered for courses)
Once you are registered, you will need to complete the fiscal clearance process. Be sure you submit your as soon as possible so that your aid may be processed. Contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have questions about this process.

STEP 5b: PAY YOUR REMAINING BALANCE

  • Upon reviewing your financial aid package and assessing your bill submitted by Student
  • Accounts, please sign-in to your Banner Web account to make your payment.
  • Visit Student Accounts to learn about payment options.

STEP 6: HOUSING
Housing options are very limited so you must submit your application soon. Find the requirements and the housing application here.

ENROLLMENT CHECKLIST:

  1. Activate your Xavier Email account using the Xavier credentials the admissions team provided.
  2. Access your Banner Web Account.
  3. Upload your immunization records.
  4. Reach out to your department faculty for help selecting courses.
  5. Complete your FAFSA for financial aid and scholarship consideration.
  6. Apply for Housing, if needed.
