Our Vision

Revolutionizing community engagement and healthcare: research and academics meet community at Xavier.

Our Vision
Housed in the 藏精阁 College of Pharmacy, 藏精阁 VOICE is a team of faculty, staff, students, and researchers engaged in collaborative efforts with local organizations firmly embedded within our communities. Our academic community engagement initiative collaborates with a wide array of community partners, encompassing a diverse range of organizations and groups to ensure a broad and impactful reach. To address disparities around community health and education, we seek to improve the research and community engagement capacity of healthcare communities in the southeastern Louisiana region./div>

We envision that these initiatives will permit accessible and culturally competent education and feedback platforms with community stakeholders.

One of our main goals is to develop, translate, and repurpose COVID-19 education material in a linguistic and culturally competent manner for the local communities in the Southeastern Louisiana region and beyond. We strive to produce materials across formats to ensure that the reach and flexibility of this information can be optimally accessed by our community partners and their patient communities in the hopes of addressing health disparities and outcomes associated with vaccine hesitancy.
