The Division of Business offers dynamic and exciting programs for undergraduate students with 4 majors, 5 minors, and a certificate in Entrepreneurship. Our curriculum is structured as follows:
- The Xavier Core Curriculum emphasizes Xavier’s identity as a Catholic and Historically Black Institution and supports the goal that students should achieve both breadth and depth of knowledge in the liberal arts. XCore enriches the undergraduate educational experience by exposing students to integrative approaches in learning and by cultivating nuanced perspectives for engaging in thought and in action the major questions of their lives. XCore is required for all Xavier students, and more information can be found here.
- The Business Core prepares students for their chosen degree path, providing extensive knowledge across the various business disciplines. The Business Core consists of 42 hours of business courses as well as 13 hours of free university electives.
- The Business Major is the area of concentration chosen by the student and consists of 24 hours of specialized education aimed to prepare our students for their careers.
The Division of Business and each of its existing majors, minors, and certificate programs are proudly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). More information about ACBSP and its standards can be found by visiting their website
