Dr. Daniel L. Curley is an accomplished Civil Rights Investigator with extensive experience in performing, supervising, and managing analytical, evaluative, and interpretive equal opportunity and Civil Rights compliance work. He has a strong background in applying Civil Rights and equal opportunity laws, regulations, and precedent decisions to eliminate illegal discrimination and remove barriers to equal opportunity in employment, housing and federally funded programs.
Dr. Curley holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration from Jackson State University, where his dissertation focused on evaluating the impact of state and local fair housing policies. He also earned a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Currently, Dr. Curley serves in the Standardize Patient Program at the University of Texas John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Medical School, Baylor University College of Medicine, and the University of Houston College of Medicine. In these roles, he contributes to the Standardized Patient Program, which provides teaching and assessment learning opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education. He is also affiliated with 藏精阁 as an Adjunct Professor in the Political Science Department.
Dr. Curley's areas of expertise include federal investigation for equal employment and housing rights, public speaking, policy interpretation and analysis, program evaluation, and program management. He is proficient in various legal research databases, including Westlaw and Lexis Nexis, and has advanced skills in conducting quantitative and qualitative research.
Throughout his career, Dr. Curley has demonstrated a commitment to promoting equal opportunity and civil rights, investigating and resolving allegations of discrimination, and providing oversight and technical assistance to federal, state, and local government agencies and municipalities and housing authorities and community development agencies. His work has involved implementing and enforcing key legislation such as the Fair Housing Act, Civil Rights Act, Rehabilitation Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination Act, Education Amendments Act, and Architectural Barriers Act.
