  • Ke’La Kimble, a 2019 藏精阁 Chemistry (ACS) major graduate, has been accepted to University of California, San Diego. During Ke’La’s four years at 藏精阁, she was an NASA MIRO scholar where she performed research in the SHELiB Center. As Ke’La enters into University of California, San Diego in Fall 2019, she will pursue a PhD in Chemistry. Because of Ke’La outstanding academic record, she has been selected for the Sloan Scholars Award. The Sloan Research Fellowships are awarded annually by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation since 1955 to "provide support and recognition to early-career scientists and scholars". This program is one of the oldest of its kind in the United States. Fellowships were initially awarded in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

Edelmy Marin Bernardez, a 2019 藏精阁 Chemistry (ACS) major graduate, has accepted a Summer REU opportunity at the French National Center for Scientific Research in Paris, France.  Edelmy was a NASA MIRO Scholar and she performed research in the SHELiB Center.  In Fall 2019, Edelmy will work as a BUILD (Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity) Technician and she will continue to perform research in the SHELiB Center.  In the near future, Edelmy will pursue her PH.D in Chemistry.
