Counseling Services Telehealth Visits
Counseling Service is open with telehealth visits only. Care for ongoing clients and new clients will take place during normal hours of business. Telemental health will follow the same guidelines for attendance as face-to-face counseling policies.
Call us at 504-520-7315 to schedule a telehealth visit. We are open from Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Closed for Lunch and during University holidays. The after-hours counselor on-call is available by calling (504-494-1103).
In an emergency:
If you or someone you know is in an immediate suicide crisis or emergency, please call 911.
Counseling Services Offers:
- Zoom counseling sessions for students who are on campus and those who reside in the state of Louisiana by appointment.
- Phone consultations are offered to out-of-state students to provide immediate support and help them identify services in their current area.
- Counseling Services group sessions will be offered via Zoom sessions.For more information visit Group Therapy.
We are now exploring whether more services can be offered to students in other states. State licensure laws control the practice of psychology and other mental health professions, and state law changes will need to be authorized to allow for interstate practice in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fees
There is no charge for this service; however, if any outside labs or test are ordered the patient is responsible for any charges incurred.
