New Delhi (JNN). Even after several days have passed in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, the politics does not seem to be stopping. Political parties neither want to let this issue go out of hand nor do they want to end it. On one side there is martyr day of farmers on the incident of Lakhimpur and on the other side there is victory march of Samajwadi Party. On the one hand, the Congress is protesting on the same incident. Overall, the opposition is trying to capitalize on the Lakhimpur issue everywhere. On his Samajwadi Vijay Yatra, Akhilesh Yadav wrote in a tweet:-
‘Samajwadi Vijay Yatra’ started from today
Beginning of the resolution of ‘Bicycle in Bicycle’
Every family of UP, every forced-oppressed
Every laborer, backward and dalit
farmers, poor, women, youth, businessmen
Everyone has one voice, we are ‘socialists’
New air – new SP
Hands of elders – Support of youth
Through this Samajwadi Vijay Yatra, Akhilesh has started a campaign to remove the dryness of power in UP. However, he is not the only one who has such a desire. Congress is also trying to remove this dryness through Lakhimpur.
Rakesh Tikait, the leader of the farmers who have mobilized against the agricultural laws and the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, says that the matter cannot be investigated fairly until Ajay Mishra is not sacked from the Union Cabinet. He also said that he will not stop going to Lakhimpur Kheri till the victims get justice. Martyrs Day has also been organized in honor of the farmers killed in the Lakhimpur incident on Tuesday (October 12) under the leadership of the United Kisan Morcha. Apart from this, a program of last Ardas has also been kept for the farmers killed in Sahebzada Inter College, Tikunia.
No opposition party wants to stop the political stir on this issue. Leaders of almost all opposition parties, including Priyanka Gandhi, are continuously demanding the resignation of the Union Minister of State for Home. Rahul Gandhi says that the BJP central government is blocking the path of justice by not doing so. On Monday, in Delhi too, Congressmen protested over this incident. Priyanka has written in a tweet on this issue that the minister’s son arrested in the murder of farmers, does the minister still have the right to continue in the post? In his tweet, he has also written that for a fair investigation of the matter, it is necessary that the minister should be sacked.
On this issue, supporters of other parties including Congress are also protesting in Punjab. At the same time, Priyanka, the general secretary of Congress in UP, has taken over the command of the party on this issue. On Monday, she sat on a silent dharna in front of the GPO in Lucknow. Similarly, in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena and NCP had taken out a rally in protest against the Lakhimpur incident and called for a state-wide bandh. Akhilesh Yadav has written in another tweet that the success of the ruling party in Maharashtra bandh shows that the days of BJP are over.
On the other hand, BJP MP Varun Gandhi’s response on this issue is giving trouble to the BJP somewhere. On the other hand, Shiv Sena and NCP have come out openly in support of the statements given by Varun Gandhi. These parties say that everyone should support Varun. Let us tell you that after Varun’s statement, he and his mother Maneka Gandhi have been thrown out of the BJP’s central executive. This move of the party is also being seen by linking it to the Lakhimpur incident.
